When you go to college, there are several decisions that you’ll need to make on your own. One of these is where you’re going to live. While living in a dorm can be easy for students who like being closer to their classes and who like having people to talk to, living in an apartment can be beneficial as well.
Becoming an Adult
A reason to consider CMU student housing is that it can make you feel like you’re an adult instead of a student in school. While in your new home, you can really start to learn more about yourself and the things that you like. However, you’ll also need to learn how to budget your time wisely so that you can study, clean, sleep, and spend time with friends and family. This is a time when you can explore a new world, so try to have fun while living off-campus.
Private World
When you live in a dorm, you’ll need to share your space with someone else. You’ll also need to share a bathroom with other people. Living in CMU student housing means that you’re going to have more privacy. You can have your own bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen. Even if you share your home with someone else, there’s still space to walk around as you please without bumping into other people.
Away From School
Even though you’re still in school, you won’t have to see all of the activity that takes place as you would if you were in a dorm. You can get away from the teachers and classes when you’re in your own home as well.
